There's a reason the West is concerned about China's growing influence in Africa for example, the more China has interests/land/economic ties around the world the harder it is to confront them.
China seems to be beating the West at its own game : globalization. The difference with the West is that they are not tied to hypocritical "human rights" values and democracy, so they can push the enveloppe further and also prevent Western influence in China, keeping the party in place.

Breh I used to think that but China is really becoming a problem. Right now they are pretty much buying resources and land from other countries in order to sustain their 1 billion+ population. Wars always happen when resources are scarce. You really think that cacs are willing to just willingly give up global land and resources to Asians

Even in the best case scenario, during growing season, with detonations in areas that would produce the most smoke, it wouldn't approach anywhere close to K-Pg.

The nuclear powers don't employ the megaton blockbusters of the 50s and 60s anymore. They use tactical sub-megaton MRV ICBMs. Think bird/buckshot hitting a target instead of a slug.
Most of Africa and South America would be fine as there are no hard targets there.
Those are literally the 2 locations proxy war would likely turn into a real war outside of the South China sea

The US is scared of war with anyone who can fight back in a serious way. Since Vietnam, notice that all the wars, occupations, and bombings we do are on countries that don't pose a serious threat? I mean we went into desert storm and cleaned up in two weeks. What serious war only lasts two weeks?
The US loves show its military might via bullying usually the third world but when it comes to countries that actually have a military that can fight back in a legit way, well now its time for talk and diplomatic solutions.
This is why a lot of these countries are trying to attain nuclear weapons, because they know that even if they don't have the military power man to man that the us does or have their hardware, that by having a nuclear weapon the US will buckle and cut all talk about invasion and bombing their countries because they know they don't want nuclear problems.
We're never going to war with China.

Pretty much this. Vietnam/ Japan got a lot of white people shook. They went as far as using nukes because the Japanese wouldn't give up. The Vietnamese also had a never give up attitude. I wager that if we went to war with China they would also not give up. Might have to do with the fact that Confucius-ism is pretty big in most of East Asia.
