All my Mexican, Guatemalan, El Salvador, Honduras, etc. homies are gonna have to cross a river, or scale a wall just to even get on the same grassy playing field in order to be on time for the start of the race. Who really has privilege?
On the real though, I sat through the whole video, it was corny, but there were a good number of truths in the video.
If the world was really about "absolutes" like this, and everything was either black or white (with no variation or nuance), then yes, the video would be 100% accurate. Generally, the world is like that, but it's not always like that.
If I was a white boy that was unable to take any steps forward, and my school wanted me to take steps forward just to prove a point for the purposes of a viral video, I'd be very pissed off (unless I was getting paid very well).
Message: Just make sure that you whoever you are, whatever race you are, take advantage of your advantages.

This priviledge talk puts the onus on white people to recognize that their advantages in life weren't earned and its through empathy that they can seek to correct the faults of society through "programs" if we're lucky or some weirdo "i understand" without further action. The thing is a lot of them don't have empathy so this is road that leads nowhere and it goes further than their advantages being unearned and were in fact stolen.
Reparations puts the power in the hands of the black man. They don't want that. Something as simple as taking financial responsibility is glossed over. Where can you take something from someone and the immediate call wasn't to replace what you took? It's the most basic and fundamental response to theft.
If everbody got a big bag they would lose the perceived control they have over our fate.
