Wtf does this shyt even mean?

It means that not everyone is going to take two steps forward or two steps back in the video just because of the color of their skin. If it was the real world there would be many different answers to the questions that the teacher/coach was asking. It wouldn't be so black and white.

Side note, because I spent too much time on the coli yesterday and I'm not really for the debates today, as a guy that looks like Daddy Yankee complexion-wise, I acknowledge that I have more inherent privilege than someone who looks like Bol Bol. I'm not a moron (I'm just stating this in case your next question was going to be do I think that I have privilege over others.).

It's almost laughingly bad (for example, the guy yesterday talking about "Maria's begging for the chocolate stroke"), and sometimes just screams of a poster that is neither Black nor Mexican posting things to create further division. That's not the topic of this thread though.

Y'all make sure to sort out what you guys got going on in Cali. For the sake of both sides. I'm not going to feel safe as a tourist visiting over there. Fix that sh!t please!

All my Mexican, Guatemalan, El Salvador, Honduras, etc. homies are gonna have to cross a river, or scale a wall just to even get on the same grassy playing field in order to be on time for the start of the race. Who really has privilege?

On the real though, I sat through the whole video, it was corny, but there were a good number of truths in the video.

If the world was really about "absolutes" like this, and everything was either black or white (with no variation or nuance), then yes, the video would be 100% accurate. Generally, the world is like that, but it's not always like that.

If I was a white boy that was unable to take any steps forward, and my school wanted me to take steps forward just to prove a point for the purposes of a viral video, I'd be very pissed off (unless I was getting paid very well).

Message: Just make sure that you whoever you are, whatever race you are, take advantage of your advantages.

"White privilege" isn't that hard to understand.

Whatever group or race of people builds and develops a society, kingdom, empire etc, (and are the ones actively running it) are going to be the ones who are the recipients of best treatment in correlation to anyone else who is an other, minority, one who did not establish said society, etc. Humans just tend to treat those who they share similarities with better than others, It's called preferential treatment (tribalism).

When you're in a position of rulership you're going to establish a system where your rulership is preserved and not threatened. Hence why you have these different forms of oppression that exist.

If you were to go to china, india, wherever, you're going to experience the same phenomenon.

Did yall watch the video? This video is about privilege, period. Sans race. There was a good number non black ppl who never/barely moved. White dude only made that comment about the Black kids because of few of them were visibly more athletic than the dough shaped kids who were in the lead.

Everyone is born into some kind of privilege; whether it's biologic or socioeconomic. The is point, winning the "race" doesnt mean much in terms of individual efforr since we have absolutely no say where we start in this race. It completely refutes that bootstraps argument since all the privilege ppl have to do is not fukk up to win while the less privileged has to over-perform, just to compete.

This race war is a distraction, it always has been. The class war is what's holding everyone back.
