My BF has a habit of putting A1 sauce on steaks. I refuse to use it; it taste like English Brown sauce which is just a miscellaneous taste. He also likes his steak well done. I’m working on getting him down to a medium cook tho.

Yea A1 sauce, HP sauce, ketchup, that’s for people who like steaks for the texture and not the taste. And for some reason the texture they want is over cooked.

The good news is you can buy any old low quality grocery store steak and it’ll taste the same to them because it just tastes like sauce.

About 5 years ago I gave up trying to get my people to stop eating well done steak. They are just convinced blood is running out of the meat. SMH. I just let them be wrong. Whenever the pit is fired up, I tell them to let me cook my own. I pull my shyt off the pit 30 minutes before they do and they swear they eating good.

Black people enjoy steak but we love chicken and seafood more.

White people are much bigger on that red meat wave. They will order steak 15/10 over grilled or smoked salmon.

I think steak in general is gassed. But you don't need sauce for the best steak. Butter at the most is good enough.

I personally prefer my steak grilled or char-broiled.

the discussion of seasoning with respect to the preparation of food is becoming ridiculous. seasoning is not the end all be all of food. people's pallettes are different. some prefer the natural taste of high quality food and others prefer a lot of seasoning. no one way is right or wrong. when I was younger, I was a card carrying member of the seasoning police. as i've gotten older, my palette has changed and i prefer less seasoning on food, preferring more of the natural taste.
