Something objective like math and science is not the same as human interactions. There's certain things that whites can do and ways they can move in our society places they can go that black people can't easily. White person to wear the same thing and be perceived totally differently than a black person can.

He's said on numerous occasions that it's dumb if ppl hate on, or even worry about, ppl who date/marry outside of their race. He even shyts on his own ancestry. On the episode where he talked about that "Planet of the Apes" tweet, he pointed out how he could never be a white pride guy b/c he knows 1st hand how Irish and Italians act.

The alt-right would NEVER accept someone like him. Even if he wanted to join them.


Yall made a good point about him never having Black leftie activist on the show. Would love for Joe to have Tariq on the show. He'll never have an Angela Rye or Dr. West on the show. They're too classy to do that kind of show. The conservative talking head will appear on there b/c it makes the right seem "cool". Dems have mtv/espn/basic tv backing them...so they don't need a weedhead's podcast to help them reach that demographic.

Joe was in Philly for either a UFC event or for a stand up set...he and his friends were walking around Philly. They told a cab driver to take them to a theatre b/c they wanted to see Planet of the Apes. He brought them to a theatre in a predominately black section of Philly. He said they were nervous as hell once they realized they were the only white ppl in the entire theatre. But by the end of the movie, he said they had a great time b/c the black audience was so vocal and into the movie. It wasn't quiet and stuffy like a white audience typically is. He and his friends were also very high before they got out of the cab so that took the movie experience to another level, ha.

He also made an interesting point how when he would hear black folks complain about not being represented enough in Hollywood, he always felt that black ppl should just go the independent route more and do their own thing instead of complaining about Hollywood not embracing black projects.

But once the previews began rolling before the movie started, he realized how he didn;t see black ppl in any of those previews and it hit him finally. How must it effect a group of ppl to be a part of a community but you can go throughout an entire day and never see yourself represented in something as simple and as American as a movie.

That made him realize that the lack of PoCs in cinema was actually a problem.


The theatre situation was actually a really positive experience but b/c he had a tweet with "black people" and "apes" in it, it made ppl think he's tryna call us monkeys.
