Weaponized social media will be the death of us. Its scary to think there isn't much to stop it. In the not too far future I can see outright genocide being called for on social media similar to how radio was weaponized in the Rwanda genocide.

Imagine hundreds of thousands of radicalized people being tolld they're in immediate danger and the only solution is to start targeting the "other" group. Its so easy to spread lies on social media and harder to debunk them.

This is what bothers me. There is very little equatable pushback to much of this.
