THIS NIGERIAN WOMAN CREATED AN
IMAGINARY AMERICAN "HOTEP"
BLACK MAN
TO MOCK IN HER SKIT?

Im Nigerian and Nigerians have been really bad with the c00nery lately on social media.

Its embarassing.
:snoop:
Been speaking on this for years

A lot of these black writers now are black people that don't grow up around black people

You can also feel the disdain for black people in their work and interviews

And the result is we get all this garbage which is really dissertations on blackness written for white people
Repped.

You see they really feel some type of way about black people from the hood

They act as if they're better than them...but resent them because they're seen as more authentic and "real" than them.

No one takes suburban black folk seriously like that. They're always seen as either a Carlton Banks or Judith Huxtable type.
Meanwhile black folk from the hood are feared and respected.

Nothing wrong with shows with a lot of nudity, or shows about black gangsters, or whatever else. I'm just asking for smart, good television. But to get there you need smart, good black showrunners. Instead we have a class of black showrunners whose first inclination is to cater to white liberal sympathy, and their second inclination is to cater to black twitter. Which means we're not getting a "black" Mad Men or The Sopranos or Severance or whatever else, anytime soon.
This exactly

These black shows now are loaded with wack ass black twitter catchphrases/humor or trying to create fukkery to tweet about

You hit the nail on the head. I think a lot of young television writers today clearly didn't read books or even watch much television outside of whatever narrow taste they have. So when they write dialogue their "style" revolves around regurgitating twitter conversations. Using the same lingo....and the same stereotypes. The cool black girl magic angel. The sympathetic handsome white dude. The sassy fat girl best friend. The sassy gay black man. Over and over. Or if it's more in the 50 Cent vein you're gonna basically get a Menace 2 Society/Boyz In The Hood rehash where you've got the sociopath black guy, the hotep black guy, the gangsta in a business suit, etc. Paper thin characters, generic stories, bad writing. Terrible mix.

Plus this generation don't respect history or care to learn it so they build their experience through tik tok and twitter and it shows with the cheesiness of many of these shows.

She's being treated like a celebrity and let's be real if a bunch of Africans were all over a White woman/non-Black like this, some of y'all would have a problem and call them white worshippers and c00ns.

My issue is with the second video. She lives in Europe and knows dam well "hoteps" not approaching her?
