I’m not a dog owner but that was pretty extreme. The dog seemed playful... no reason to spit on it.

It wasn't cool but I doubt it goes on all the time, if it did as soon as she raised her hand the dog would have backed up or as soon as she looked at it with a glare...
It didn't.
Spitting on the dog is mad disrespectful and uncalled for but that's about as abuseful as cursing a dog out or calling it derogatory names. The dog doesn't know that spitting on it is a from of the utmost disrespect.
I've seen abused animals growing up in my day and either that dog isn't for her, its new or she isn't really abusing the dog but does "disrespect it"

I've owned a dobberman, rott, , and Husky. While you do have to literally kick them off each other if they start fighting (happens a lot with sled dogs), that's in a dire situation wherein the dogs will literally rip into each other. This was at home, and in response to him play biting...she might not hit him, but she more than likely pushes him or yanks his collar. And no, not all abused dogs whimper or run at the sight of a hand raised. Bigger dogs, will take the damage, but psychologically, you're turning a passive behavior into an aggressive one, which is why he's so rambunctious. A well trained dog, even young, won't be running around breaking shyt or going top speed in a house. She's a shytty dog owner, and a worse human being.
Pinning him down and spitting on him isn't how you train any dog...c'mon son, lets stop feigning ignorance. Again, she might not be putting cigarettes out on his head, but what shes doing isn't beneficial to the dog at all.

Why Cacs "love" dogs could be a thesis. I know how to discipline animals and it doesn't have to go like this.
People like this don't love animals. They love having power over life. Totally different psyche than a pet lover. There's a lot of closeted dog abusers in the cac community.

1. She spit on the dog uhhh in nowhere is that training.
2. The dog is way too old to need to be corrected with that much physicality. You do that when they're young so that when they get older it's no necessary.
3. She didn't train him. Idk what she was suppose to be correcting when she hit him. She has no constancy. You correct dogs to train them not because you're mad.
I have 2 huge dogs currently and have had 7 dogs throughout my life and I have never spit on any of them.
