Nelson Mandela whitewashed himself when he was alive and well. White South Africans "LOOOOOOVE" him.

Also Apartheid really only ended coz the US stopped using the Aprtheid Government as a watch dog against Soviet influence in the SADEC region.
Had the US continued to support the SA government, like they have with Israel.. Nothing would've changed
