Whitney is clearly the better singer

Arguably better songs but Whitney in my mind suffers from overexposure

She is so overplayed to me that I can barely listen to her now

Add that to the fact that I always preferred Anita she has a more soulful voice and it’s more melodic to me

Plus Anita has less pop catalogue

and arguably a better and even a more romantic catalogue my preference is Anita

Love them both, this is like MJ (Whitney) vs Prince (Anita) to me. I'm going with Whitney (and MJ).

"Saving All My Love For You":wow:

That self-titled/debut album is some beautiful music.

Her run in the 80's was some legendary shyt.

Whitney was the better singer of course, but to be honest I was never a fan of her music outside a few songs. Her music was too pop for me. I am going with Anita on this one.

Anita Baker did more soul music and Whitney did more pop. It's hard to say but I like Anita Baker's voice more because she does more range full things with her voice and her vocal arrangements due to the credit of her producers is better than Whitney's.

Her music is just more real

And Anita Baker can roller-skate on Beat

I bet everything on my wedding ring . ahhhhhh ahhhhhhh hhmmmmmmmmmi

giving it to you baaaaaby.

Then the piano bridge

:mjcry:

Ahll probably shed a tear when she dies

Whitney's voice is powerful as fukk the way she can just go to a super high note and hold that pitch with such distinct clarity. it's very strong but the songs she made just don't hit you in the chest like Anita
