Does TWD do these episode with this crew and episode with that crew formula to avoid having to pay the main cast as much money, by not having them in every single episode? I feel like they didn't start doing this until a year or two ago.

Its a scheduling thing....It not only gives the actors a slight break so they're not constantly working 14 hour days 6 times per week but it also allows the different directors more time to plan out their individual episodes.

I've spoken with the Andrew Lincoln (Rick) many times (not about the show, mostly abt various dope films) here in Atlanta during his down times while filming. Met the dude who plays The Governor too. You can tell they appreciate the brief time off. Side note: Andrew said its messes him up to go back and forth with the British/American accent while filming so every time I see him he's got the fake American accent.

i originally hated michonnes depiction in season 3. she was basically a mute with an angry scowl on her face. but they fixed her character in season 4.

but when it comes to tyrese, they fukked his characterization big time. they're also going the same route with morgan. i'm not fond of them basically portraying them as foolish. you don't have to be a savage to know letting people live who want to kill you is a bad idea.

I cannot think of one good reason for this show to make the decision to have Morgan act like he did in this episode.
I had no problem with him being compassionate but to have him be delusional is just a bit too much.
How the fukk do you try to show mercy to people who invade your home and butcher your people? What am I as a viewer supposed to connect to with a character who walks up to a maniac chopping someone up into little pieces and offers to let him leave while trying to "reach" him with kind words?
Not being down with murdering people who have philosophical disagreements with you is one thing, taking the turn the other cheek stance with murdering lunatics is just stupid. And as it stands I would be perfectly fine if Morgan dies in the very next episode because I am not really looking forward to him being this unrealistic crabass shooting disapproving looks at Rick and the gang when they do what needs to be done.
