No hate. I just don't get it. I've seen brehs on here profess how dope he is and underrated but, personally, I can't listen to him. Outside of 4th Chamber, I have not heard anything with replayability. He could be a dope and insightful lecturer but I can't listen to his music.

Planet Asia. He doesn't really have that much to say.

This is really the only name mentioned so far that had me do a complete double take.

Did I read this correctly? Planet Asia ain't nice?!? :whoo:

To each his own, but I think that's borderline insanity. With a few obvious exceptions I could probably count on one hand, I think he's the dopest underground MC to come out of the West Coast.

There are a lot of rappers who I acknowledge can spit when truly pressed that I just don't fukk with their music for one reason or another. But one dude I never, ever saw the hype surrounding, even not taking into account his horrible mainstream tracks, was Mase.

Never saw anything remotely ill from this dude. At best to me he could be "aight".

Mase had the fly talk for sure but I can see why someone wouldn't be a fan. Are you a fan of fab?

I feel like they fall under the same umbrella

Canibus.

Like he has some dope one liners, but I found him to be one dimensional lyrically. I'm shocked that people are surprised his albums or music never lived up to the hype. Wyclef was blamed because he gave him some weak production, but in reality, it didn't matter who was behind the boards. Canibus wasn't the songwriter or lyricist that he was made out to be. Take Big Pun for instance. He was versatile and could give you a song about anything while still maintaining the skill and rhyming ability. He created a great album and was successful while still maintaining the skill. He even had a song with Clef and still went in. Pun could wow you, make rappers afraid to get on a song with him, but was still versatile enough lyrically to give you a "Still Not A Player" and a "Punish Me" and then go and make a "Glamor Life" and "Dream Shatterer" on the same album.

The songs I love by him are pretty high highs, but the majority of his stuff is average to poor.

Not at all, but I put Fab in that category of dudes I think can be nice, I just don't fukk with their music.

Mase to me made garbage music and he wasn't nice. I think Fab would body him any day of the week, and I couldn't name you 3 Fab songs I like.

:francis: Styles P. Don’t get me wrong. Breh isn’t :trash: or anything like that but some nikkas swear that he’s as good if not better than Jada.

A lot of people like SP the Ghost because he did dirt and went to jail. IF you really look hard, a lot of people don't *love* Hip Hop as an artform.

SP the Ghost tries to be a thorough extra tough version of Nas, and he is legit nice, but i noticed his fans love him for everything BUT his spitting abilities.

Jeezy. Had some dope songs here and there but never got the fascination.
Stack Bundles rip to that man but he was way overhyped as are alot of these "street dudes turned rappers". Maino as well.

Maino is another one that bullies his way into conversations and never letting music speaks for itself. You can do all the dirt in the world, just that some human beings just not meant to be BIG on the mic. That's life. :yeshrug:
