Who are some actors you feel like Hollywood tried to force on us, but didn't make it?

I don't know if they have been listed yet, as I haven;t gotten to the end of the thread, but Kirsten Dunst snaggled-tooth ass was ALWAYS on my screen and she ALWAYS got on my nerves. Also, the entire Twilight cast, but I' a Twilightie, so you'll hear no complaints from me on that one.

Agreed. Jonah Hill is somewhat funny, and Giamatti has great roles in plenty good movies for the last 25 years

To me, it's not about the public more than it is a lot of these people just taking on bad roles, or maybe did well with their part in a bad movie. The perfect role in the perfect movie determines the star!

Even bad roles can make money if the public wants to see a particular actor...IE Jim Carrey/Adam Sandler...

because Gosling is a) a great actor b)not in blockbuster type of movies. c)profitable. He doesnt really flop.

True! But the thread isn't about money, is it??? It's about actors/actresses that "The public will not give a chance to make it."

And I believe it has a lot to do with roles/scripts that just miss their mark.

Ryan Reynolds, but I actually like him I can see why they want him to be that guy, he's one of those weird cases where he should be a lot more successful. He got all the tools but it hasn't worked.
