Why the older generations of Asians don't like blacks? Would your parents be cool with you dating a black person?
Fear of the unknown? Most Asians that immigrate here and are middle-aged grew up in areas that have no black people at all. Older generations of Asians will often defer to stereotypes when they don't have actual experiences/facts to support their opinion.
My parents immigrated here from Vietnam when they were teenagers though, so they were fine when I dated outside my race.
