This exactly. That hypothetical player we want isn't available right now, that doesn't stop us from trying to improve (even marginally) until he does become available though.I think those mentioning KP and Burks are doing so because they are obtainable pieces that bring needs and would improve this team. I don't think anyone is willing to break the bank, gut the team, or cried when they left the 1st time.
Naysayers are saying "No! We need a backup PG that can shoot, pass, and break down the defense!" Well.....
no shyt naysayers. Who doesn't need that? Now please kindly share the available player that fits that bill. Yeah the 2nd unit is better with a primary ball handler and IQ as the secondary. We saw it with Rose. However...he's cooked. So instead of telling us how it'd work better...drop a name. An obtainable one.
Also Burks/IQ/Hart works better than this years 2nd unit because it still adds a secondary capable ball handler in Burks. IQ had ZERO help getting the ball across. Hart didn't want that shyt. But yeah who's this guy ready to be 2021 D Rose? Reggie Jackson? He's not in Denver rotation. Not a guy I love, I'm just tryna help y'all out. You stating the obvious but no solution in correcting the problem.
Reggie Bullock![]()
It was rumblings he likes New York but doesn’t want to play under ThibsI wouldn't hate bringing Burks back. KP feels like a better fit than Randle, but rebounding takes a hit and I haven't watched KP's offball defense closely enough to know how much he'd help with the rotations.
More importantly, I think the Knicks are gonna aim higher than that. I'm expecting a star chase, with more enthusiasm than the Mitchell trade talks had this past offseason. So any moves I'm entertaining, would change depending on what's sent out and what comes in.
If an Embiid miracle happens, KP is off the table. If we move Obi in a star trade, we need a PF. If we deal IQ, suddenly Burks makes more sense than ever. So I'm having trouble thinking about targets for this team because I think the roster will look a lot different...though maybe that's wishful thinking.
Other than that, I'm just looking at this roster and thinking about needs that the MLE can cover. Divincenzo....maybe Beasley on the cheap after LA waives him.

Embiid a bytch and will never win a championship
I really just want to respond to this again.U overthinking it.
Most teams don't have those luxuries you're even speaking of.
Where we even finding another D-Rose. D-Rose was our best player period that year.
The Knicks need shooting. Burks has familiarity and was a positive on both ends for us and just a solid ass vet all around. He is instant offense and a 40% 3PT roughly his last 4 seasons in the league not only that he would likely come at a value.![]()
That was the idea of signing Burks last time and they had to trade out a draft to move him. It makes more sense they go for that player now. Playing it safe led to 2021, this team isn't good enough to be comfortable and make small changes. This exactly. This. If Mitch and RJ can be the framework to get us a close to elite wing, I’d gladly bring back KP. The possibles only seem to be Jaylen Brown and Paul George so far.I wouldn't hate bringing Burks back. Burks can hoop rock solid 10 year pro don’t know why nikkas is hating but whatever.I really just want to respond to this again.
You out here looking up the 3pt shooting percentages of Alec Burks to try and make a point but I’m overthinking it.

Don't forget they had to trade 11 to move him last time but hey let's pay him again.

We can add around 40 million in salary and send a minimum of 18 back for around 35 and have so many draft picks we can't draft no more, we got to take a swing on something better.I think those mentioning KP and Burks are doing so because they are obtainable pieces that bring needs and would improve this team.
