Jae salary is 9.7 million so the only person in that area is foutnier (14 million) and Rose (12 million). I doubt Thibs allows Rose to leave and Fournier may not be good enough for Phoenix

I can see the knicks doing it for some second rounders coming their way.

Fournier as a shooter actually makes some sense as a wing backup to Cameron. He’s more expensive, but they are also trying to make a run during CP3’s window.

Meanwhile the knicks add a D&3 vet who they might be able to move later for assets or can help them make a playoff run.

Knicks could also be a great partner in a three way trade because of their draft picks.
