Randle took too many tough shots, maybe because of spacing. They also got into the offense late so everyone was forcing up bad shots.

RJ couldn't finish at the rim tonight, there was contact on some of those plays that wasn't called. Same with Brunson, there was a play where Butler hit him in the face going for a layup that wasn't called.

Should they trade IQ and Topping for pics to build on? Who would take Randle after watching this series? He would take a shot with 2 people on him, but pasd the ball to Mtch at the last minute when it looks like he had a layup. You wasn't making that pass all regular season.

Brunson gave us more than I was expecting this playoffs. RJ and Grimes are the youngest guys on the roster. They will learn a lot from this series. Bring Melo to work with them in the off-season.

Is there even anyone in free agency worth getting? What to they have to spend?

Im not throwing Mitch in the bushes because he’s not better than the 3rd or 4th best center in the league depending how you classify AD. Randle has failed us time and time again. He’s the one that needs to go but like i said all season when I advocated for trading RJ instead, he won’t get us back anything good. As good as he’s been, if RJ can get us a TRUE star, we gotta do it. He’s seriously increased his stock this playoffs. The question is who are the stars we’d be willing to trade him for. To me, PG is the line. I’m down with anyone better than him that becomes available (Butler, Brown, Giannis etc) and nobody who isn’t (Lavine) . But I’m on the fence with PG himself.

Called them trash all year, but all hyperbole and emotion aside, I'm proud of what the team was able to accomplish this year and even more proud of the recognition and narrative around the team these days. Hearing a tier 0 Knick troll like Richard Jefferson say how the Knicks have arrived last night was something I was proud to hear.

They've turned themselves around from being a laughingstock of the league, something that's been 20 years in the making.

Lots of flaws, lots of opportunities to make improvements and while I don't agree with a lot of the front office moves and believe in the long term, we still need to move on from Thibodeau and one of RJ or Randle, if not both, it's incredible to see a foundation to build up on in a league of stars that are aging out and new stars on the horizon.

Get some more shooting, get another bucket to put next to Brunson, maximize our assets in Rose, Fournier and sadly Obi and build on 22/23 success.

Thibs will be gone soon enough.

I love my trash ass Knicks. :mjcry:

I’m afraid this front office is not savvy enough to make the necessary acquisitions this summer…but will pray I’m wrong.
The acquisition of Brunson:fire: & Hart shows they have that saviness. I'm hoping Portland or Utah would be inept enough to take Goofball (and RJ, if you gotta throw a bigger assett:laff:) off our hands:lupe::hubie:

I think the Knicks have a realistic way to improve, and I think it’s more about shoring up its bench with guys who can give them a different look.

They need a dedicated defender at the forward spot who can shoot the three. It doesn't have to be a top tier guy like OG either. If RJ or Randle are having an bad game put that forward in to defend and stretch the floor.

They also need more guys who can create off the dribble AND shoot a 3. Basically what Rose use to bring to the bench unit next to IQ.

Ideally whoever they gets is younger. This is a younger team, that should be part of their identity. Going after a pl

His comments after the game on ESPN were valid until he ended it with shyt about going after Dame or KAT.

And I’m willing to bet Dame will be traded to Brooklyn anyway. So we’re gonna hear SAS talk all this shyt all summer then throw corny tantrums when the Nets get Dame instead.

“when he has that mindset” :jbhmm:
