All these available coaches and I don’t think I’d fire Thibs for any of them aside from Nurse. If he put it out there he was interested in coaching the Knicks would you fire Thibs? Do you think the FO would?

I think the FO will chase continuity as much as possible, unless they're making a move for a star. Thibs earned another year, if things stagnate and the offense is stuck in the mud for another playoffs, they'll move on. But he's earned another year unless that rumored coaches/players argument during the Heat series was worse than implied.

Nurse isn’t really a retread per se though… this would be his second job.
nurse isnt a good coach
he was gift wrapped a 50 win team that added kawhi leonard gasol and danny green to it.
that coinsided with bron leaving the east and it being wide open.

Since kawhi left and he had to coach without the luxuries, raps haven't done shyt and a lot of that is his fault

thibs made no adjustments against miami but he did make more adjustments this year than he ever has in his coaching career so that says something. That definitely warrants another year, i think we need to move on Randle though. Ive seen enough playoff games to know what he is at this point. it wont get better

He’s a good coach. You can nitpick any coaches resume. And imo he’s the best of the available ones.

I'd like to see them find a way to move him and bring back a genuine second option, but I feel like his value tanked with another playoff flop. Also, I'm high-key annoyed that so many national commentators called out his body language, and lazy defense after they threw Knicks fans under the bus for booing that behavior last year. I wonder what they could get for him...there's gotta be a desperate gm or two that would love a multi-time All-NBA Allstar :sadcam:

I kinda want to see Johnnie Bryant get a shot before any outside options. @seemorecizzy mentioned Thibs made more adjustments this year than we've seen before, I wonder if that's a Bryant effect.

I am ok with Randle staying here. He’s too damn emotional, and the team plays off of him. So when he is feeling down, it spreads. Mainly because the team is all younger than him and see’s him as one of the team's stars. I’m hoping in time the unlearn to play through his slumps. It would be best for everyone.

Brunson is probably the best running mate they could have put next to him too because Brunson runs cold 90% of the time. Brunson is the most emotionally mature player I have seen in a long time. His game reminds me of Tony Parker, but his attitude reminds me of Chauncey Billups.

I still think the Knicks need to prioritize figuring out what they can get for Fournier, Rose, Toppin, Rokas, and the bunch of draft picks they can’t use all of. Like, even if the bytch ass Mavs stay top #10, the Knicks get their pick next year. All of these assets mean they can go to a team and say, “What do you want?” or make a package of different types assets.

Not everyone is trader Ainge and this is a good young team that shouldn't be gutted. The FO would be wiser to try and find ways to add to it that works within the rising cap changes.

Been seeing a few Embid/Knickerbockers rumors. What would be the odds? 20% 40%

Even with the poor game 7 and the injury problems he would be an upgrade

0.

Potentially losing James Harden shouldn't be the moment that causes you to blow everything up and start over with Barrett and Quickley.
