I am ok with Randle staying here. He’s too damn emotional, and the team plays off of him. So when he is feeling down, it spreads. Mainly because the team is all younger than him and see’s him as one of the team's stars. I’m hoping in time the unlearn to play through his slumps. It would be best for everyone.

Brunson is probably the best running mate they could have put next to him too because Brunson runs cold 90% of the time. Brunson is the most emotionally mature player I have seen in a long time. His game reminds me of Tony Parker, but his attitude reminds me of Chauncey Billups.

I still think the Knicks need to prioritize figuring out what they can get for Fournier, Rose, Toppin, Rokas, and the bunch of draft picks they can’t use all of. Like, even if the bytch ass Mavs stay top #10, the Knicks get their pick next year. All of these assets mean they can go to a team and say, “What do you want?” or make a package of different types assets.

Not everyone is trader Ainge and this is a good young team that shouldn't be gutted. The FO would be wiser to try and find ways to add to it that works within the rising cap changes.
I'm okay with Randle staying too but we really need some elite shooting on the fringes. I want the Knicks to go after Cam Johnson. He'd be an amazing backup to have, and I remember seeing him play some sf early in his career, he could get slotted there in a pinch.

I think another big question we should have is what to do with IQ? He was important to our season, but he might be in line for a massive pay day and he was a complete no show in the playoffs(it just went under the radar after he got hurt).

If we keep Randle, we HAVE to get shooting. If that means trading RJ, Mitch, IQ, Obi, contracts and picks for KAT and a guy like Kris Middleton, you probably have to do it. (Yes, it all works under the cap)

Don’t worry about it. They are going to trade that pick guaranteed. We barely need a rookie now, next year it would only be worst and they have to draft someone.
not if dallas is ass again and get a top 10 pick, thats why i ask. i see its top 10 protected

He’s saying we’re gonna make the trade this summer most likely.
you cant trade the pick until it conveys, if the mavericks get a top 10 pick they keep it next year and i dont see another team loving it that much

edit: i guess they could trade it but idk how much value it has imo

That’s why you trade it now. The half of a pick is worth more because Dallas is ass and there is a decent enough chance they will be ass again.
its protected so another team might not find it attractive if they have to wait multiple years for it to convey. it turns into 2 seconds if it doesnt convey in 24/25
