Paul George has this year covered but next year it’s a player option he will likely decline. The Knicks at most could add 3 years and 126 million (Kyrie extension) on top of the 48 million dollar player option

being forced into paying an injury prone 37 year old 50 million(likely more) is pretty stupid and irresponsible.

You don't execute this trade and meet LACs price for a one year rental, it should be understood that an extension would come along with acquiring him.

So if they weren't interested in that they weren't really interested in him (which is fair given his age and injury history).

It’s a decent move would probably be seen as a respectable move in league circles. I’m not mad at it as a final move for this off-season he does come with substantial playoff experience.

I don’t really believe in his jumper and think he got too cocky too fast but he’d truly be our P.J. Tucker. He can have all of Obi’s minutes and we can try him on big wings as well.
