Do you want people to post an opinion in the OP every time they post science news, for example? I mean that thread on carbon reduction you listed in my example. The article speaks for itself, it's not really debatable nor did anything really need to be added.

I'd like for HL to be like this but posters don't want it so we mods go with the flow. Sometimes I edit the OP or post the articles and/or the links and/or additional infos in the second post so we can get the discussion going but it doesn't work all the time.

I don't care at all about people posting articles as long as you're not obnoxious like scientific playa and clean that shyt up. it is also helpful to highlight key parts, but sometimes that is a task. People should always post a link but sometimes I don't just because I got things from a mainstream publication. HL will have sme changes eventually but hardcore enforcement of stuff like this probably won't be it.
