This has been one of the most high profile and popular rumors out there for at least the past 2 years. And on paper it just seems to make sense...

  • salaries match,
  • both fill the starpower need for huge markets
  • both players are having their games stifled by their current environment and would seemingly be more productive in each other's situation.

But would it actually be a good trade? It seems like both players are past their apex and would not be as beneficial to their teams as their names would suggest

Which franchise would be elevated more if the trade did go down?

Knicks and it's not close, they'd be a playoff team. Clips would still be 1st round fodder.
when healthy blake would do a lot for a team, remember he went on a run when cp3 was out. But blake is too much of an injury prone to get those hopes of him doing that shyt constantly. Breh dunks like a black man and fragile like a cac :dead:

The Clippers would benefit, I think, and it would set the Knicks back another 5 years by preventing a true rebuild that they desperately need.

I would rather we trade Melo for picks and/or youth.

Blake's only 27 though. He would be perfect next to Porzingis. Plus he's a great play making big. He'd even be able to run the triangle and make it somewhat successful.

Blake with the ball in his hands is pretty dynamic.
