Who brought out the best in Aaliyah? Timbaland or R. Kelly?

R. Kelly barely worked with her in terms of output.

Timbaland and her were a great unique combo. She wasn't a powerful singer, but her voice was absolutely perfect for those productions.

Kellz
Keep it mind Kellz had her when she was very young.

But I listen to Kellz stuff more. Timbaland shyt was nice but some it is dated.

Her best songs are wikth Kellz

He first album is her only classic.

Her last album was mid

Timbaland easy

The Timbaland/Aaliyah/Missy style of r&b is still being chased to this day

80% of female(you can probably add male honestly) r&b in the last 15 years have been variations of One In A Million and 4 Page Letter

Cause it's easier to do...

Unless you claim it was the best type of Rnb out there, which is not true.

R Kelly/Babyface RnB >>>> Timbo/Missy RnB

That doesn't negate how good it was. That's like invalidating Kobe because everyone copied his moves

I have no problem calling R Kelly the GOAT but that doesn't also mean he brought the best out of Aaliyah

One In A Million is definitely a classic, tho. That joint changed the game.

I'm not invalidating the Aaliyah Timbo sound. It was good. Very good.

however, it copied because it's easier to do for all these mid singers and it was more in line with the b*stardization of RnB.

Aaliyah was clearly more succesful, more iconic with Timbo.

But the music she did with Kellz was a lil bit better. Just little, not much.

I also think she would've reached the same level of success with Kelz. It was just a matter of time.

Aaliyah had that IT factor. She was just too young (no ) when she was with Kelz
