Honestly kang the conqueror is a much better match for darkseid than thanos. Thanos is not on their level. If i recal correctly, darkseid could hop dimensions and conquor, wheras thanos was only concerned with his universe, similar to that fantastic four villain with the big head. (His name escapes me , but i know he’s paired with silver).
