Who came up with this narrative that owning a business is easier than a 9-5?

"It all boils down to your work ethic ,multitasking ,problem solving and priorities .. Easier/Harder are relative."

Ok its not a humble brag :steviej: Ive had a few businesses some failed some are succeeding . But I'll use myself as an example and elaborate :

Work Ethic - You have to have crazy work ethic . Before I had businesses I would work 2-3 regular jobs and have little sleep . Money motivates me to the point I get in a zone.
I have that same work ethic now and dont need a "boss" to push me for productivity.

Multi-Tasking - Be able to take care of many things at once including personal concerns and business. The day is only so long so if things need to be addressed you have to plan and execute some thing simultaneously and see it as a personal failure if you still have food on your plate the next day. Be able to be clear headed and precise in execution so you dont have to re-do or "fix" situations. No problems just concerns that you can manage.

Problem Solving - George Lucas really didnt know how he was going to shoot Star Wars he finessed .. he had a script and plan ..but there were problems EVERYDAY on set. He didnt panic he just solved the problem and was prepared to fight the problem the next day also. Or at least whittle the problem down to a concern then solve ultimately

Priorities - Youre always on never off . What can you manage and where do you lack and need help or hires in . Also for me I hate traffic and fukk a commute . That was a priority in my life .. its that serious . So i planned to never have to commute in rush hour unless I had to and was not in a place where i could afford not to. That was a driving force to start business also not being tied somewhere from 9-5 and having a boss .
