1st of all she's wrong because as soon as women have children they put the children 1st so why would a man not do the same. 2nd they're right you can find another wife. 3rd everything is situational.

Your mom can also find another man, she don't need you to take the husband role.
Your kids are very important, but eventually they will find somebody too. My daughters husband will be the number 1 man in her on her wedding day. Thats what we are symbolizing when you walk them down the isle. they enter the chaple on my arm, but leave on the husbands arm.
Your wife is the only one you are committed to for the rest of your life. Plus she is the only one who can ruin your life if things go sour.
