A former US Secretary of the Navy, Dan Kimball once said deporting this guy was "the stupidest thing this country ever did".

Dude came from China and graduated from M.I.T and Caltech.
Then founded NASA and Cal Tech's Jet Propulsion Library
Worked on the Manhattan Project.
One of the main engineers responsible for building the U.S's long range missile program.
Recruited the German Scientist who ended up building NASA's space program.
Was deported, got pissed and taught China how to make a nuclear bomb
Then innovated and taught China how to build hypersonic missiles The "Xuesen Trajectory" for missiles is named after this guy.
Then built China's space program.
Also the reason why China is building a forest in the desert, fighting desertification and terraforming their country.

After he was pardoned he okayed his family to go back to the U.S.
His kid is an Electrical Engineer from M.I.T and Stanford PhD
While his nephew won the Nobel Prize at UCSD (the reason we're able to make E. Coli glow in the dark).

One of the most key figures in modern history honestly and now well-known in Academia with family everywhere in our best schools.

All the drama with China is because of this guy. Courtesy of Dwight D. Eisenhower who was warned by basically everybody this decision was highly irrational.
