Shelton, just because I find collegiate wrestlers legit in kicking ass. He was bland as fukk, but if he had a solid Heel Manager, he would be high tier.

This. They should have never turned MVP face though, or at least let him turn by something other than a stupid fukking losing streak. Dude had the mic skills, charisma, and was pretty good in the ring. Had a pretty cool moveset. Wish he was 28/29 when he got to the WWE instead of 36.
I was a fan of Shelton too, but his mics skills held him back pretty well. He was basically the black John Morrison, being able to be counted on for very good spots and reliable matches, but the lack in mic skills would be a ceiling.

both were good. Shelton was excellent in the ring, but had a personality that makes Roman Reigns look like The Rock on the mic.

Mic skills held him back? Like Roman is dropping gems and classics since his face turn..like there has been any legit promo from anyone on top except Bryan in the last 3 years. They made Khali champion so the mic skills gay excuse is dead to me. I''m tired of hearing that reasoning. It's stupid and McMahon is gonna push who he wants no matter what. They wanted Blandy to be a star after he failed for years and they did just that. They made sure he got 7 figures and got a lazy schedule. They took care of him even though he is anti draw and has had record viewer losses as champion or as a upper midcard act.
SWERVE: Everyone in the past 7 years has had record viewer losses as champion, because the company has had record viewer losses for 7 years straight. This includes Punk, Bryan, Seth, Roman, Jericho, ADR, etc etc.

You're only as good as your finisher and MVP's finisher (Overdrive) was hogwash.
Plus MVP was in some terrible feuds.
Shelton was just as bland as your favourite indy darling.
MVP was using the Drive-By Kick for awhile, then I guess the WWE didn't like the phrase "drive-by" and started using the Overdrive more.......yet Roman Reigns outside front drop kick is referred to as the Drive-By

Hassan had mic skills...got buried by Cena. Estrada was a bigger star than Umaga..got kicked out of the game. Heyman could of went wild with Cesaro but they botched it up to hilarious degrees. So the mic skill bull$hit don't ride.
Bryan had the highest rated segments on every Raw even when he was injured...even when Punk, Michaels, Cripple H, Blandy, Cena, and Vince were all on the same show. Week after week after week.....
