What did P say about Bone confronting them? Knowing P I'll bet he claimed he was gonna shoot all four of them, and then through some fluke occurrence, nothing ended up happening. Didn't he claim he was gonna shoot Pac bit then went to tie his shoe - only for PAC to be long gone when he looked back up?

nah. that's was all prodigy said.

he didn't go into any details.

Look man...

I know a lotta y'all don't wanna look at it this way...

but Pac was either A) sensitive as hell around that time and taking everything as a dis... or B) going at any and everyone just for the sake of creating controversy. IMO, it's a lil' bit of both. He blatantly said in an interview with VIBE (the last one he gave), "whoever cool with Bad Boy, or make a song with them nikkas, or whatever- I'm dissin' em"... and people still wanna run with them lame-duck explanations he gave in other interviews.

So yeah, Pac was reaching with that "they said thug life we still livin' it" shyt... and honestly, his real beef was probably just that they were cool with Puff. Just like his beef with Nas was his association with Dre, covered up in other reasons. Just like his beef with Jay-Z was because he rolled with BIG. Not necessarily because any of these people actually went at him, but by association with people he didn't like.

I respect Pac to no end, but all that shyt was for reasons just as petty as the disses you see today. Most of those "beefs" would've been deaded within a year had he lived, guaranteed... they were in no way/shape/form any more real than most lame rap beefs. Just made for more entertaining music and interviews.

this didn't stop pac from having method man on his album. he was still cool with onyx & naughty, etc.

I think pac was just tryna freeze bad boy out with that comment. I mean, the main purpose of him going in on puff & big like that was to f*ck with henchmen & them's money.

Yeah, Pac was still cool with Naughty, BootCamp Clik, etc... never had a prob with Wu-Tang, even tho' I'm surprised he didn't take offense to the Ghostface "don't wanna see Tupac" line... he clearly said he didn't just have beef with ALL of the East Coast.

But he def. pinpointed a specific bunch of artists due to their afiliations. Nas does a song with Dre, suddenly Pac got beef. Mobb Deep is cool with Puff (and not to mention, did the "LA, LA" shyt in response to DPG), Pac got beef. Jay-Z makes a record with BIG, Pac got beef. I know there's such a thing as subliminals and whatnot, but it seems like dude was using straws like a muhfukka. It was like those things that could be about anyone, or simply generic statements, and then it gets turned into "nah son, he talkin' bout ME!" :heh:

It's ironic that he discredits Mobb Deep to boost Pac in the same post where he calls out people who discredit Pac to boost up the Mobb.

im not discrediting them,i stated facts.

that other bum ass mobb stan saying they are legendary and pac is only legendary cuz he died thats discredting.

2pac was a bigger artist and sold more, thats a fact thats not discrediting.

if i say drake sold more then kendrick,am i discredting kendrick?

everything i said is fact based, what he said is stan delusion. understand the difference?

this is how a lot of beefs start tho. especially when dudes get to throwing subliminals. ESPECIALLY back then when rappers had to always be on their Ps & Qs both on & off wax. and then in 2pac's case, its amplified because it was literally him against the world at that time. he was locked up in new York. chit was already crazy inside the walls, but on the outside, he listens to the radio and hears all these djs and rappers dissin him, and he doesn't even know half of em. you'd be pretty paranoid as well. im sure there were a couple people that caught a stray but f*ck it.

and I always figured that mobb dissed pac on "survival of the fittest". just didn't know if that was the first shot.

Here's why the "Survival of the Fittest" shyt doesn't fly as a dis...

Pac popularized the term "Thug Life". By '95, it was a term that was no longer exclusive to him, it was a part of the slang of that era. And so, with them sayin' it on that record, I doubt it was a slight to him out of nofukkinwhere. It was just as much a commonly-used term as "WHAT!" or "keep it real" or any other shyt nikkas were using then. Now I'm sure Pac, in his paranoid state of mind (no dis) hears that and instantly feels it's a slight at him... but the chances that it actually was? :heh:

I believe it also had to do with the letter Puffy wrote Pac while in jail basically calling him soft because he was giving up Thug Life and told him if you really a thug then you gotta ride it to the wheels fall off. I also believe Pac thought the song was about him when he heard one of them in that Intro to Survival of the Fittest talking about "This is for you fake thugging muthafukkas"

Then he's not hearing from Biggie and then them nikkas put out the Song Who Shot Ya? Cmon now

But again... so the word "thug", which by '95 is not exclusive to 2Pac, caused him to believe immediately that it HAD to be a swipe at him. So if they said "fake GANGSTA muthafukkas" instead, it would've been all good... it's just funny to me.

As for "Who Shot Ya" I always thought that was a dumb move. And not because of the song itself, cause IMO it's not a dis track. But they could've called that song anything but that. If the name of it wasn't "Who Shot Ya" no one would have ever seen it as a dis, cause there's nothing in the song that sounds any different than other rhymes BIG had around the same time. It's just like how DPG's "New York New York" ain't really a dis record until you see the video. But that title was in bad taste IMO.

I mean, it's not that I don't get why he felt like nikkas were comin' at his head. I get exactly why. He got robbed and shot at a place where he felt he always got love, so of course you'd start to question everything. But some of that shyt was random as hell... I don't even remember but what were the issues with LL and De La Soul about again? :heh:

:wtf:

That was a misunderstanding and had nothing to do with the Ghost line.

It didn't spiral into any beef because Pac got the chain back and immediately apologized for it even happening. Frank Alexander, Pac's bodyguard, said this himself in the book he wrote.

Matter of fact Pac himself said he wanted to sign Wu to Death Row so :heh: at you implying there was any beef between them.

2Pac was a clown. This dude quit thug life, then when nikkas continue to use it, he says "I'm thug life". "Thug Life Is Mine".

Any nikka who supports 2Pac is a confused bytch.

See this is what happens when east coast nikkas get to throwing rocks and hiding they hands, nikkas trying to play the victim, especially after the fact when it's safe.

He got @ de la because they were obviously mocking him in ego trip. nikkas running around with they shirts off, pool parties, "the mansion ain't his"...It was a satire on hip hop as a whole but that was a BIG record, that was a live ass video and it was extra obvious who they were making a parody of.

Pac hit them up and asked why they were dissing him, they said they weren't really coming at him and they kinda let it die down until they ended up getting into with treach.

You already dissed me on the low and copped pleas... some fat frumpy funny lookin nikkas wanna make fun of me for partying with bytches with my shirt off, now you beefing with my people...

Trying to playa hate on my shyt?

:pacspit: :flabbynsick: :pachaha:

As for LL....beside the whole "i shot ya" after "who shot ya" ordeal...his verse was pretty much a subliminal to the whole west coast. The whole "east/west" dynamic was already in full effect and here he issuing an open challenge all while claiming the bodies of hammer and ice t..."in LA they gang bang but if you touch a mic your motherfukkin ass hang", basically saying nikkas that rep the west can't rhyme. And then goes on to say "NEXT TIME I'MA NAME NAMES" as if he had somebody in particular in mind the whole time....WHO ELSE COULD HE REALLY BE TALKING ABOUT?

You can call it a reach...but be real wit cha self, and take into account how these NY nikkas were moving at the time on the rap scene, take into account that years after the fact NAS himself confirms himself that big was trying to recruit him to go at pac...wasn't no twitter or no bullshyt like that back then that helped the fans be privy to all the fukk shyt that was going on behind the scenes, the artists knew what was going on though.
