Hogan and Vince have had multiple instances where they fell out with each other and on and off the record and MULTIPLE RAWS in the past 3 years Vince has mentioned how Hogan "pissed him off". I'm sure he's appreciative of what Hogan has done for him and the industry but I doubt he's even in the top ten of his favorite people or favorite performers.

Judging by the stories and Hogan's own interviews, he and Vince seemed to be genuine friends. They'd travel together, party together, work out together, etc.... Its always easier for friends to patch things up for the sake of some dough than it seems like for others.

Vince is also a huge Flair fan too.

That's why you can't take Vince too serious on these things. His HOF has no Macho Man Randy Savage. And he did a full burial of Austin once in 2002..went back on it and then tried to say he was the greatest. They did a DVD where they had current stars act like Hogan was the greatest attraction of them all. They basically said the Rock was the greatest of all time leading to Mania 28 and 29 after acting like he didn't exist for years and putting DX in his spot on Attitude Era video packages. Dude is a double talker in that regard on the Meltzer level.

One thing you gotta call Vince smart for..he never bashed the Rock over all these years when he was gone. He had company types say slick shyt like Cripple H, Cena, and Punk but he never said anything that would of easily ended any chance of the Rock coming back to the show. And the rumors of him "walking out" after Mania 29, they went insane showing the Rock app and promoting all of this movies to stop that rumor big time. LOL! They do not want Mania XXX to flop.

Yeah Vince has basically called different people the goat at different times but as far as I know it was Hogan Austin and Rock who only got that praise from Vince

And those 3 are the only legit arguments in my opinion

I'd like to think he was a big fan of Savage but their relationship wouldn't allow him to admit it.

Replace Hogan with Triple H and that's what he'll tell you

So
HBK, Andre, Triple H, Austin, Rock

and he'll throw in Warrior in there all of a sudden.

i really don't think he'd put BOTH hbk and triple h in there, probably NEITHER honestly

hogan, andre, Austin are pretty non negotiable...they WILL be on his top 3 i believe

Even before the latest scandal I dont think Vince would put Hogan in his top 5, even though HE SHOULD.
Like with them it was always business but I feel like they've had a strained relationship since even before the steroid scandal.

I just always get the feeling Vince begrudgingly includes him, Bret Hart, Randy Savage and maybe every big draw pre-94 that way

That 2009/2010 DVD of the 50 greatest Superstars of all time is very telling. Supposedly it was selected by the locker room....which basically means Vince. He had like Hogan at 25 and Shawn was number 1.

Even this most recent time when Hulk came back, Vince didnt really take a lot of pics and hang out with him and on the Austin podcast he was talking about the difficulty dealing with top draws and literally rolled his eyes when he got to Hogan.

Of course you and I know that Hogan, Andre and Austin is non negotiable but we're talking about Vince's top 5 which is all about rewriting history

Even Todd Grisham who was hosting that DVD was like :stopitslime::yeshrug::ld: throughout the whole thing of the rankings :mjlol:

I mean he clashed with Shawn so much too but Shawn never really jumped ship or walk out on him so that's why I say he'd include him. And he'll spin Triple H by saying he was second highest drawing champion ever (which negates the fact he was doing shows with The Rock every night during that run). They really romanticize DX's legacy with each passing year so I think he might

Austin saved Vince's company.

Hogan was big, but at that time wwf wasn't heading down the drain.

I think it's obvious that Shawn is Vince's GOAT. I genuinely think he appreciates all the money he made off of guys like Hogan, Austin, Rock etc. but is an actual mark for HBK.

My guess at the Cokeboy top 5:

1) HBK
2) Andre
3) Austin
4) Hogan
5) Cena

I don't think Savage would be on there. Can you imagine Vince taking HBK or Austin off of the active roster and putting them on commentary when they still wanted to wrestle?
