Who do you think Big Sean’s Verzuz matchup should be?

These are some weird takes

1- Sean is corny and his songs would come off as corny

2- Wale has just as many bangers as Sean :childplease: Plus would have more album cut type ‘rap’ moments and be less…corny

3- I’m a Wiz fan but Wiz’s mainstream (black) run was pretty damn short. He started off indie in the How Fly era :banderas: but then after he blew he quickly transcended the verzuz crowd and went pop. Neither era is going to pop on a verzuz

1- Wale
2-Sean

3- Wiz
Wiz gets a couple rounds like this yall wouldn’t expect>

Wale got to play his for the ladies music and you know the girls will be there for him. He got like 3 or 4 that he can get Sean with off top, I’m sure I’m missing some. I don’t know that much about Sean’s music outside of the hits and a few others. I can’t think of one song of his I want to hear him perform. Not one
Wale’s GOGO run is gonna clear Sean on stage too.

If Wale goes up there with a band, it gets SPOOKY for Big Sean

I've been thinking lately that Wiz's impact early on in his career, combined with hits and overall cultural impact (blonde patch, camos and chucks, ushering in the weed culture amongst amongst that generation) should have him in these conversations outside of the "big 3" with Sean, Wale, ect. Bro definitely has the catalog. 2010-2015 Wiz couldn't miss and he was a master at writing hooks. Wiz is the man.

Edit: I really hate how the Blog Era got boggled down into 3 artists when it's probably the deepest class we've ever had in terms of talent.
Wiz Mixtape run is gonna shock yall too. He stays with a few.

Wale don't got no hard shyt nikkas want to listen to, and I used to love tats on my arm and 600 benz. He'd have to rely solely on his awkward MMG era for bangers. Aint nobody tryna hear Seinfeld themed mixtape cuts, and this is coming from someone who listened to that sht all the time They can go back n forth with the love songs (people also forget Sean got a whole collab album with Jhene Aiko) but he widens the gap when he cut on shyt like IDFWU and bounce back.

I'm not disrespecting Wale as an artist but he ain't built for a Versuz environment unless he going against a little nikka with a light catalog or another conscience type rapper like Lupe or something
This is gonna ring off live better than you think...

you slowed down there half way through...

Wale is doing chase-down blocks on a lot of these.

Mind you, I was telling yall Sean had a stellar feature year in 2025.

Forget the respect aspect, this is just an atrocious take

That’s 17 tracks without touching any ‘Seinfeld’ shyt. :heh:From there take your pick of any number of album cuts, Self Made tracks, etc. Me personally I’m rounding it out with Self Made, Play your Part, and Power circle :scusthov: He is SMOKING Big Sean, Wiz, and a lot of supposedly bigger rappers

I don’t think it gets bogged down to 3, I think the whole big 3 came because the class was so deep and about 3 (really five counting Nicki and future) really sold above and had a larger impact than the rest, who definitely did their thing, but generally were a tier below. I also think objective people who aren’t stuck in the 90’s realize that there was a second golden age from 2011-18. Lots of dope music from all the dudes who blew up on the blogs from ~07-10

It’s either gotta be Wale or Cole. And Wale could certainly compete with either of them.
