U Mad is complete trash and the epitome of generic.

I don't fukk with Vic Mensa at all, but "Down On My Luck" was easily one of the best tracks (and especially videos) of last year. Him bringing back that Jungle Brothers vibe was smart as fukk. And frankly, it's the only time I saw people actually check for Vic Mensa.

He strikes me as yet another Kanye/Cudi clone but let's hope he's more "Down on my luck" on his upcoming album and less "U Mad".

You asked for 3 tracks...I was showing his creativity NOT my own personal fave songs

If you don't fukk with him at all how can he strike you ask anything ? Let alone Kanye/Cudi

look at you getting defensive already.

I've checked out about 7 to 10 different tracks of Vic Mensa. You can tell someone's style by the music they make, even if you don't fukk with them. It's not that hard if you've been listening to rap a while and analyzing styles.

You should have posted "Lovely Day" instead of "U Mad".

if this was a Rocky/Lil B thread, I would have mentioned them. Try again.

I agree "U Mad" is basura but he's experimenting..nothing "defensive" about that

Down On My Luck sounds nothing like his previous work...neither does U Mad

Plus If you took 7 Kanye tracks you couldn't really form an sound judgement /conclusion

Then again if you took 7 K-Rino songs....well.....

I don't rely on ego or lofty standards...I like to get the full scope of an artist and see
where they started, how they progressed and where there are

Go ahead tell us.....

In Dallas, From Cleveland
Big Krit.... Very Versatile

The Vent- Introspective, Soulful shyt

Mt Olympus - Straight Spitting, Lyrical, old school I'm the best type shyt

Country shyt/Money on the Floor- Club, Radio type songs, upbeat, turn up type shyt

Pay Attention/Bigger Picture - Songs for and about females that aren't cheesy or cliché

The fact that he produced all of his own tracks makes him even more creative

And he always comes with it when he does features :obama:

IMO Krit runs away with this.

Thugga. His music to me, seems like one big experiment/creative exercise in sounds and flows...
