I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but it's a thought that crossed my mind...especially as we head into Hall of Fame season.

Who knows how many years it'll be from now and who will retire first, but it can be fun to make predictions and check back once it happens.

Who'll be the first person inducted into the AEW Hall of Fame?

The inaugural World champion?

The Exalted One?

....or a wild card (perhaps, even someone from commentary? :jbhmm:

Brodie feels like the safe bet to me.

I’d say Moxley because he was always there for them when shyt hit the fan. Reward reliability

That said. ..

Sting has had no skips since arriving tho so . .. ya know.

:blessed:

Brodie for sure should be in their hall of fame but I think a real good look would be

Naming an annual “AEW performer of the year/AEW MVP” the Brodie Lee MVP award

Chris Jericho and Brodie Lee.

Rest depends on how far down the road it is created and how long someone has to be retired to make it in.

If they wait until Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Jon Moxley are eligible they'll be in that first class.

As far as other guys that I think could make their case based on current body of work when they become eligible...
  • Hangman. He's in his 20s, he's still got well over a decade of wrestling if he wants to.
  • MJF - even younger than Hangman
  • The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass Billy Gunn
  • Bryan Danielson
  • Darby Allin
  • FTR
  • Orange Cassidy
  • Sting - I guess. More so the name and history than for his body of work in AEW.
  • All members of Death Triangle
  • Britt Baker
  • Hikaru Shida
  • Jade Cargill
  • Jamie Hayter
And the wild card for talent - CM Punk and Thunder Rosa. Depends on what they do from here on out, they have a lot of fences to mend.

As far as non-talent goes
  • Paul Turner - senior referee
  • Aubrey Edwards - she does a whole bunch of stuff outside of refereeing
  • Excalibur
  • Jim Ross
  • Tony Schiavone

It’s gotta be Moxley (in this scenario this happens far in the future, after he retires)
