Honestly if Fetterman is healthy enough he should seriously be consideration for 28. Now we know the DNC are eternal losers and hate guys like Fetterman, but he is exactly what they need. A somewhat normal guy who pushes progressives ideas without coming across as obnoxious/crazy like Sanders. And the way he is surgically dissecting Dr Oz is beautiful

he confidently states the successes of his administration, but says hes not sure hes the best person to lead the country through 2029, and he's putting america first. theres no shame in that at all. hell, it'll be seen as gracious, and not power hungry. the literal antithesis of trumpism

it was an 'anybody but trump' election. there was nothing in biden's campaigning or promises that was uniquely effective. could have been about half of the other candidates up there. jeopardizing 2024 with a major course correction is not ideal. now we have to convince a man that you dont think is even healthy to step down (and, let's face it, biden is not stepping aside). the truth is, the only likely way he is gone is with a primary challenge, which means he cant even use the "gracious" angle. we would have to deal with the optics of showing a lack of faith in grandpa, and if we fail, he would be weaker in the general election.

people, if biden decides to run in 2024, he will be the dem nominee...

both reps and dems have determined long ago that there are 2 major reasons presidents don't get reelected...
1) a primary - this is why the parties clear the field for their incumbents (gwb, obama, trump, etc.)
2) a third party splitting the vote - this is why both parties make it damn near impossible for a third party to get on a presidential ballot in all 50 states and also are not allowed at the debates

trump only lost reelection due to bungling a once in a life pandemic.... and even there he barely lost reelection by 50k votes....

the only way biden is not the nominee is if he decides not to run for reelection.... there is no getting defeated in the primary, because there won't be one....
