First off going through this thread and seeing all these old great SNES and Genesis games brings a tear to my eye but we have to be honest with ourselves SNES won HANDS DOWN there are too many classics under Nintendo's umbrella PERIOD

The only system that is arguably on SNES level of dominance is the Playstation 2 thats it two greatest consoles of my lifetime (Born in 1982)

SNES easily. You won't be able to rewrite history.

What are the top 5 Genesis games? Like what were it's killer apps? Everybody and their mother can name 5 legendary titles on the SNES. I can think of... Sonic... Sonic 2... what else did Genesis have that crushed buildings? Please don't say "Streets of Rage". While a good game, it was no better than Double Dragon or Final Fight. Definitely not a killer app by any means.

Hockey was smoother on the Genesis

I know the Sega heads feel the need to support their side, but come on. you can look at many "Best Game of All Time" lists, and find a bunch of SNES games (Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Zelda LTTP, Super Mario World, Mario Kart, etc). I can't think of any Genesis games that get mentioned regularly

I was on the Genesis side..my best friend had the SNES. Their games cost like $10 more than Genesis at the time too..we fukking would go crazy over Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, and NBA Jam. When Street Fighter II came out, we fukking hijacked from Blockbuster without thinking twice...put in like a fake ass goofball game and told them it was lost or some wack bullshyt that they could never prove otherwise. Street Fighter II and Fatal Fury were harder to control on SNES for whatever reasons...Genesis had excellent controls for the fighting games without doing the fukking math work sometimes. Using Andy Bogard was the shyt on Genesis..using that nygga on SNES sucked HERPES dikk.

Damn..no one is gonna talk about Starfox and was Goldeneye on SNES? I think it was...I haven't played that fukking game in YEARS. VERY addictive game You turn around in 1st shooter and someone blowing your fukking brains out str8 up. lol
