Still thou Genesis had MORE good games imo.We can start counting if yall want too.Just let me know when you are ready.Alot of SNES games were geared towards small children which is why so many of you like snes. You were probably 5-6 years old or younger during the golden age.Really 2 completely different audiences.Older, more mature gamers didnt want to look all those cartooney faces and fairy dust all day. They wanted something with a edge and that was Sega.

if you are unbiased there's no possible way you can say Genesis had better games after the dust settled. they were neck and neck early on but cmon SNES has 3-4 of the best games OF ALL TIME. no denying that. I had SNES but regularly played Genesis at family and friends just as much. If i was older during that time I probably would have copped both.

i liked Sonic a lot but can we stop comparing that series to Super Mario World? Sonic is a very good platformer, but not in the same ballpark as Super Mario World as far as innovation and depth.

It's all a matter of opinion then, that's what it tells you :manny:

ok then what Sega game would you put in the top 10 or 10- 5 of all times if sega games are that great and people who made those lists are obviously gamers then why aren't any sega games in the top 10 every time a list is made

lol @ this bullshyt I had both SEGA & Super Nintendo i played everything weather they where geared towards children or not...and shyt what do ya know i was a kid at the time and Mario is for the people not just children.....that's actually what's wrong with gaming now dont you see what was so great about gaming back then everybody had a game

Pink Panther
The Mask
Taz
Chester Cheeta

and we played all them shyts cuz we gave no fukks that's what gamers did

Damn..no one is gonna talk about Starfox and was Goldeneye on SNES? I think it was...I haven't played that fukking game in YEARS. VERY addictive game:laugh: You turn around in 1st shooter and someone blowing your fukking brains out str8 up. lol

It was still just super mario bros. with better graphics. :heh:

Now if you said that about Mario 64 you would be right.

:beli:

sonic was :ooh: BEFORE Snes dropped, and never since then. great platformer, but not ever considered an all time classic

i feel like i am 10 again arguing about this :russ: i love it

Like i said man Nintendo was geared towards kids and Sega was for the older folks.Dudes 10 years + wasnt trying to play video games with stuffed animals all the time.Straight from Console Wars wiki:A Sony focus group found that teenage boys would not admit to owning a Super NES rather than a Genesis. And Genesis had the bigger library.

nikka how old the fukk are you 98 shut up that shyt means nothing you think the people that made those lists prob weren't kids/teens or mid 20's playing those games so when they made those lists age had nothin to do with shyt when super mario came out in 1990 i didnt play that shyt prolly till 95 and i knew nikkas 10 years older then me that played that shyt at the time :stopitslime: stop tryna use that older nikkas only played sega

john madden was on SNES
Live was on SNES
all the sports game were on both systems
Super Nintendo had killer instinct/mortal kombat/street fighter so shut that shyt up

Like what, all those fantasy rpgs?Did you really know anyone that was playing them shyts back then bruh?Because i didnt.

Like every game listed in this thread already. Other than Sonic 2, the Genesis had nothing that was touching the top 10 games on SNES.

I was a Sonic/Genesis stan back in the day.

I can't deny it no more tho, SNES got this. It's real close tho.

Are those cchrono trigger or secret man games yall brought up 100 times really that much better than phantasy star or shining force? No.

:usure: Don't do this. I had a lot of fun with Phantasy Star but Chrono Trigger might be the greatest RPG ever. I'm not sure Phantasy Star is on the same level as the other great SNES RPG's

lol, Goldeneye was N64. Starfox on SNES was...interesting. Starfox 64 was really good tho.
