Also i play primarily online quick match which is on default so i also play the pc on default too. A good cheeser can beat slider adjustments if they know what theyre doing

Here's the thing, sliders are better suited for user vs. cpu games, that is where you get the best experience possible in any sports game. Playing against a friend is always going to lead to fukkery..online or offline. Sliders can help in user vs. user games, especially with certain exploits, but when a nikka wants to do some silly off the wall shyt, it can be tricky stopping them. You can't force ya boy to run plays if he doesn't want to, you can't force him to use the spurs as a half court team when he is all about run n gun, you can't force him get realistic stats etc. It's certain things you can't avoid unless both players agree to play "sim" ball, which is why i don't fukk with online at all.

However, sliders can fix a lot of cheese tactics like guys swatting at the ball all game, with the correct tweaks they will be in foul trouble early and would have to be a lot more smarter when going for steals. Superstar players aren't so easy to abuse..I once saw someone score 80+ points with Westbrook against a friend of mine online, literally walking through defenders, shooting against 2-3 defenders... shyt like that NEVER happens with the sliders/rosters i use, because every single slider, attribute and tendency is tweaked to make the experience mimic real life. There is no running through 5 players with one guy or chuckin it over all of them for a 3/layup with players like Kobe, KD or Melo..let alone anyone else.

About the momentum thing, it happens in real life..teams go on runs, players get hot/cold and timeouts are needed to help swing these situations back in your favor. I don't see this as a problem, it's a part of sports.

Thread is a good read about the mometum being overpowered in this game. Alot of the crazy stuff u see happening is a result of a momentum swing. Heres a post from the thread

I sometimes do get angry at momentum swings, but if I find myselfstarting to get upset, I slow the ball down, make sure I move it a lot and make sure that I'm not trying to force things.

If the momentum swing continues, the best thing to do is to recognize it is your time to deal with it, then try to move forward from there. If you have done everything you reasonably could (ie timeouts), then use the momentum swing to work on whatever you feel you are weak on. Maybe you can practice that release or practice D...

The last thing I do is to put the controller down and walk away from the game for a while.

It's really rubberbanding labeled momentum.

It works in your favor too. Sometimes you just have to slow the ball down and over analyzed every play. One simple pass is a turnover. Get the ball inside dont shoot jumpers . Run pick and rolls. Make the shot so open that the game has no choice but to let it go in. Put in your best defenders on the other teams best scorers. Don't be afraid to switch it up run zones , traps etc...

Sometimes all the above doesn't even help. But it is what it is.

Momentum is what allows a complete scrub to keep up with a skilled player. The game does this to keep things competitive and noob friendly

isn't that roster file old? or is it updated to the newest rosters we have as of today?

also, how do u load shoe files and not the rosters? does this work on PS3?

Nah, he updates it every every month or two. V6 went up maybe a week or two ago with updated accessories and trades and he updated even more just a couple of days ago. It's accurate and current. As far as loading the shoe file

Download horizon if you have not. Get a microsoft safe usb probably about 8gb. Move & Save your 2k shoe file to your usb.


Open horizon. Insert your usb and open your file through Horizon (shoe file). Then drag the downloaded shoe file to horizon. You should see two separate shoe files. One is yours and the other downloaded one. Copy and paste your device id and console id on to the other console id and device id. Make sure you copy all the numbers.


This Roster/Slider/Settings set only works with the 360, however.

If you can keep the various levels of basketball-related injustice and ineffectiveness in perspective, you should be able to avoid anger, if not occasional frustration.

like i said, momentum swings happen in real life, in every sport. If you can handle the pressure of it all you can overcome it, if not, enjoy the L. Like dude said, there has been worst swings in real life ball, just because this is a video game doesn't mean things like this wont happen, 2k13 is a virtual take on real life ball so all phases of real life ball will be present.

I have won/loss games where the momentum swings, it's not an issue, it isn't a glitch/exploit or anything similar, it's simply a part of sports.

Yea he agrees with u but most every other post in that thread acknowledges the overpowering momentum in this game. Rubberbanding is the correct term for it. Its a bigger issue than the sliders imo. the ultimate goal is to keep one player from blowing the other player out. 2k12 had a similar issue where if u played well in the first half 9 times outta 10 the 3rd quarter would be a disaster for u.

The slider adjustments can help limit 3pt success, increase contact in the paint, and increase fouls when reaching (if being abused) but the momentum system will override all of that when it kicks in. Its basically a crutch for sorry players to depend on. Thats why i say they need to get rid of it. Enjoy ur sliders though if that makes the game better for u

Anybody know some good slider combinations so I can get some more turnovers and steals? I'm only getting 3 or 4 a game :why:
