I was thinking about the same thing tho. They put all the black shows on at the same time to cancel each other out. They put Black-Ish and Empire on at the same time as Unsung to scramble the ratings.
And TV One be taking their sweet ass time putting the Unsung episodes on demand.

Like DJ Quik could get one, but Suga Free probably doesn't warrant an hour of TV. If we were talking Native Tongues, Unsung would cover De La Soul, not Chi-Ali. And yeah, he murdered a nikka, but come on. If we were talking Rap-a-Lot, Geto Boys got an episode, but I doubt Big Mike's solo career ever would. It's not a show that covers artists who never really got over the hump at any point.
Unsung is for artists who mostly had successful runs and stories that haven't been told a million times already (which is kinda why a Rick James ep was kinda stretching it, but whatever).
That said, it doesn't mean EVERY artist that never got big mainstream coverage would/should be featured on the show. Suga Free doesn't really fall into that category of being someone who did something great or successful and hasn't had his story told. He's kinda like... 2nd II None.
