this is my 4th time taking this math class in college and its not even college level yet :snoop:

i fukkin hate math

DAMN!

That tells me you aren't really putting in enough effort. You need to work on that shyt for at least an hour outside of class every day of the week. You need to get a tutor, watch youtube videos on the subject, get in a study group, make friend with the kids who are better than you at it, 4 times for a non college level math class?? :damn:

im not i can admit that :yeshrug:

well the first 2 times i took it, the teachers werent that great and i couldnt understand anything. i didnt have time nor did i really try to go see a tutor after work. 3rd time i found a good teacher and it was making sense a little bit better but missed a few classes and i felt lost on some parts plus not turning in some homework. bombed 2 tests but the last 2 and the final i did better. even got a A on one of them. passed the class with a 68 and i was asking the teacher anything i can do to raise the grade. :yeshrug:
he said nah and politely said . Now im taking it, im getting A's on my quizzes and i got a C on my first test. but im understanding it better now a second time . :snoop: since this is the last time i can take the class, i gotta meet with the academic advisors throughout the term to make sure imma pass.

I understand it for the most part, its just when it comes to tests i blank the f out. :to:

I'm decent. I can't do complex math. Anything past Calculus II and Statistics and I'm confused.

Well at least you're doing better finally. Here's the thing, with complicated subjects you sometimes have to teach it to yourself. I took two semesters each of general chemistry and organic chemistry and I didn't even bother going to class. The professors can't teach for shyt, so I taught myself. And that's what everyone who did well in those classes had to do. You can't rely on the teacher to teach you the material, as ironic as it sounds, you gotta learn it yourself. They're just there to judge you and give you a grade.

Also, if you're blanking on tests, that means you don't know it as well as you think you do. You need to work through some practice problems.

I've always been terrible at math. I absolutely worked my ass off to make a B+ in Pre-calc and that is the highest level math I'll ever pursue.

fukk math with medieval dildonics :birdman:

That being said, how many brehs here are up on discrete math? That's actually one of the more generally useful maths I've learned.

I just took a discrete math course this past spring semester. It's a pretty interesting subject, but I'll probably sit down with a book one of these days and really do more learning on my own because we didn't really cover many topics outside of the most elementary topics (set theory, boolean algebra and logic, relations, probability, etc.)

I truly admire people who are good in math especially algebra. We'll just leave it at that. :wow:
