Ideally, I'd prefer two or three days a week at home and the other couple days in the office just to get some interaction. I wouldn't wanna work 100% solo basically on an island.
At my job they give us a BB, laptop and remote access, yet we can't work at home. Go figure.

I looked at the Apple at Home thing before, can you truly apply from anywhere? The site seems to say differently.
That sucks, you should run the idea by your boss and see how he/she feels.
At my job we get a laptop and a headset and I only have to work in the office one day a week (though I can come in more if I want).
Taking phone calls all day is annoying but it is nice to do it from the comfort of your own home and not have to worry about traffic and/or getting dressed. Not to mention the $$$ you save on gas.

I asked before getting hired, but we have a new boss who is more receptive to the idea so it might be happening soon. Hopefully so. Cuz on my team, there are two people who have 70 mile commutes each way cuz they live in the sticks. And my commute is 25 mi each way but I live in the city whih can be horrible traffic wise when driving from the suburbs. However unlike them, I have the option of taking public transportation. In addition, we rarely take phone calls. I get less than 5 a week total. All our business is handled via email for the most part.
The first time I applied for apple was sometime after I got laid off by Clearwire. Apple jumped in and hired a bunch of it's employees.
But I didn't qualify because my internet at home wasn't fast enough at the time.
Apple also hires through employment agencies, but they don't tell you the job is through apple. They just say 'at home tech support' or some sh!t like that. So you gotta dig for em.

Eh it's just not the same. I love the ones in the office, wearing high-heels and business suits n shyt. The ones you make eye contact w/ one day, then don't see for a week, then when you finally cross their path, they look at you, smile, and say, "Heeeeeey theeeeeeere! I was wondering when I'd see you again."

I work from home doing graphic design, but once I graduate I gonna try to look for a studio to work for. Like somebody said earlier in the thread, nothing beats human interaction.
And sitting in an office all day is more fun?

I worked from home for a year and a half. I definitely did miss the human interaction to a degree. We have a pretty small office that only had 3 females worth looking at (2 of which left the company now and the third fell off). That little taste of freedom killed it for me now though. When I went back to working in the office I just couldn't tolerate it. the mundane small talk, seeing people's laziness up close, people constantly asking for help. I'm going back to working from home in a month.

And for those looking up these type of jobs. Look up answering services. Or customer service. Any job that's receptionist like, where all u do is take calls and take notes or messages, they will usually have work from home options
Some are scams that want you to sell stuff. Or build boxes or stupid shyt. U want the ones that are no selling, no commission. I was making 12 an hour when I worked for an answering service. Minus that gas which would be 60 a fill up and two fill ups a week, that's an extra 3-5 dollars an hour alone. So factor that in when you hear the starting rate
