HAHA!! Haven't seen this video since I was a kid!

This sh*t used to come on The Box nonstop back in the day. And on Public Access, they used to play the "dirty" uncensored version of the video, which was always my favorite.

:lolbron:
The Box was so dope. I'm glad I was too young to have a credit card cuz I woulda went broke requesting shyt :russ:

The crazy sh*t was, people would be ordering so many videos, I would just sit there and wait for the good sh*t! LOL!!

After awhile, I started memorizing the numbers of the videos, so you could see what was coming up soon because they would put what the people were requesting on the bottom.

Same. Some days you would get a crazy run of videos. Like Wu, Das Efx, Funkdoobiest, Tribe, Cypress Hill, Brand Nubian back to back to back and you'd just sit there like :gladbron:

Man I'm getting taken back with The Box. Cosign on thanking God I didn't have a credit card back then  Those Box Talk interviews they did were cool too. I remember seeing the Real Muthaphuckkin Gz video on there the first time and then waiting for it to come around to see it again :gladbron:

Exactly!

You could just sit back and chill and mad classics would be coming on! I used to record them right off the TV, with my VCR.

Definitely the later classics like Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Put 'Em on the Glass". HAHA!! The Box was the only place playing that joint!

No doubt, bro!

I don’t even know if the album that was on ever dropped officially. I have it, but that came along with searching online forever, years ago, lol. Whole project was dope! But around that time, they said Treach was supposedly working on some sh*t. I guess we'll just never hear it.

Eminem clearly. Give them the same production and Redman is throughly washing Em. Em is just piling a bunch of syllables into as few bars as possible. Redman still sounds as fresh as he did in the 90s and 00s.
He's been doing that bullshyt. When black rappers do it, it's rappity rapping. When he does it, it's the greatest thing ever.

Easy as hell to say Em but this is something you gotta be objective with. If we're talking about their respective primes to the fall off Redman was dropping a lot of forgettable shyt that no one cared about after Malpractice. Ems fall off point was Encore, which had some joints but was mediocre but imo redeemed himself somewhat with Relapse. Sure, Red eventually came back with MW2 but ultimately Reds fall off was worse.

Both need to balance having good production with not being overly rappity cause that shyt is not listenable long term.

Bruh I been going back and listening to a lot of Redman again and I started listening back his music from like 2012 to 2018 when dropping a lot of just random songs in preparation for Muddy Waters 2 and so much of that music just sounds like some shyt Ludacris would do. It was Redman just having fun without any edge to his music

But you said it best, after Malpractice is when he started dropping a lot of forgettable music

Em’s fall with Encore was so bad it almost seemed like he was trolling with Encore. These days Em sounds like a robot who’s only gift of gab being super lyrical but without any emotion or enthusiasm behind it at all. He sounds bored
