Both these dudes were perennial all-stars and really dynamic players. For whatever reasons, they both fell off HARD.

Franchise lost his athleticism and looked real :flabbynsick: on the Knicks and back on Houston. He was out of the league by like 31.

Arenas tore up his knee and came back prematurely and then caught the gun charge and then it was a wrap from there, he was looking real :flabbynsick: on Orlando and Memphis.

Both of them should have been able to tack on at least 3-4 solid, productive years to their careers. What happened?

Gilbert. Francis fell off but it wasn't dramatic. Arenas went from a tier 1 scorer to "leave that scrub open" status.

Its gotta be Arenas, even tho franchise went straight:flabbynsick: on us, Arenas was more dramatic, with the knee and that gun situation :snoop:

Gilbert... at his peak he was dropping nearly 30 points and 6 dimes a game.

He could score with anyone in the NBA in a variety of ways and had unlimited range. He was also clutch and had a big game winning shot in the playoffs in Chicago. And even though he lost, the 2006 series vs. the Cavs was great

How so? Stephon is more successful than BOTH those guys right now.

And from ALL accounts Stephon is a lot HAPPIER than pretty much everybody in the league right now, so I don't see how he fell off in life.

:comeon: stephon just went cooky...he was nice on the wolves and was for the most part normal but once he came east dude started loosing his mind and became a burden on teams are we goin to forget his years with the knicks? they had to send this dude to china....not cause he was injured or getting too old cause he was just out there and not worth dealing with

dont get me wrong i think he's a good dude and passionate but he is not mentally stable

edit how can you defend this....

I got to say Stevie...he ALWAYS was considered a standout baller...he is was drafted what number 2?? Gilly was always considered to be a marginal talent at best. But he worked hard and came up and got paid. But he got to feeling himself and he got injured. His fall off was to be expected. But Stevie :wtf: I expected him to STILL be in the league playing at a high level. Besides AI he was the most talented kid I had seen come out of the DC area since I was living here. :to:
