Or any artist of any genre.
At least Em has subject matter about almost dying from substance abuse or his best friend being murdered.
Hov's rapping about paintings and clothing you can't afford.
I'm assuming Drake is rapping about being in a wheelchair as a child actor in the polite streets of Canada.
But Eminem doesn't rap about those things really. He had a few songs that included it. The rest of the songs were lacking any actual subject.
Jay did fall off, but he didn't as bad as Eminem.
The only song I liked on MMLP2 was this:
There's hardly any songs with subject matter that meant anything on that album. 2, maybe 3.
Same with recovery. He ran out of things to rap about, and now it's like he's just doing it for the fun of it.
I saw someone describe him now and I thought it described him perfectly. "He's just a battle rapper making songs"
