Since the football gods enjoy seeing me upset...I have a feeling Gabbert will play just well enough to not get benched. Type of play where when you watch him, he sucks, but the numbers won't be bench-able. Something like 22TD's 12 iNT's 3800 Yards.

Think it'll be someone off the radar.
I can't see Gabbert throwing more than 15 tds this season.

gabberts problem isnt yardage or tds, I think he can do that- he had 10 tds last season in 8 games and even had two 300+ yard games in the process

its his picks. he will have some real dumb picks. which makes him a poor mans alex smith. he'll take a few more chances because his accuracy downfield isnt as bad, but he hasnt ever shown he can cut down on bad picks.

so I think he can do 22 or even 25 tds if playing the whole season (which he likely wont), but he will turn the ball over way more than 12 picks

I can see that except the 3800 years.... if we still had Boldin and maybe VDavis maybe so..... but now with Patton and Torry Smith! LOL

I can see 20TDs, 15 INTs, 3300 yards

The popular assertion that Kaepernick has been regressing for years now and that he's had consecutive bad years is one of the biggest myths thats really out of control. In the 2014 season, Kaepernick passed for 3,369 yards, 19 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and a passer rating of 86.4. It's hard to fathom how anyone who follows NFL football can consider that a bad season. It's certainly not setting the world on fire, but those are efficient, above average numbers. If you do think that season is bad, then you should also believe that Flacco should not even be an NFL quarterback, because those numbers are similar to the numbers that Flacco records every year consistently.

In 2013, in his 10th year in the league, Eli Manning threw 18 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. That's a level of bad that many quarterbacks never rebound from. Kaepernick has never approached a level of play that poor. Also that year, Flacco threw more interceptions than touchdowns as well: recording 19 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. Go down the list of NFL quarterbacks, outside of the few truly elite signal callers, and you will generally find a season where they played well below their usual level of productivity. It happens.

Gabbert is only playing the first few games. He's not lasting the whole season unless they want a good draft pick or Chip Kelly wants to go back to college.

Ironically one of Kaps best games that year was when the 49ers ran a HUNH O

The Niners have scored touchdowns on each of their first three possessions of a game and shocked the Cardinals with a hurry-up offense that featured four- and sometimes five-wideout alignments.

Arizona had no answer for Colin Kaepernick, who equaled a career high with 14 completions in the first half, in 18 attempts, for 116 yards, while also running the ball a career-high nine times in the first half, for 45 yards. And the Niners led 14-6 at intermission.
