Naming two or three players doesn't disprove the overwhelming trend And you know that bruh Yi Jianlian was a 7"0 footer grabbed up because of Yao on some "stand under the basket" sh*t. Sun Yue hasn't played more than 20 minutes of NBA basketball. Great examples there bro. There's never been a Chinese swingman. EVER. You're already seeing some of it. First there was Floyd Mayweather's tweet, "“Jeremy Lin is a good player, but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.”

For those who want to say that's what Floyd Mayweather meant, get real. His tweet was obviously bitter in tone, based on the back end of it. If you don't believe me, tell me this doesn't sound offensive, "Jackie Robinson was a good player, but all the hype is because he was black. White players do what he did every night and didn't get the same praise."

That would be offensive for three reasons. First, it denounces what he accomplished as a player. White people didn't do what he did all the time without getting praise. The few who have been able to play on Robinson's level have had their share of fame too.

Yes, Jackie Robinson had batteries and rocks thrown at him. Great. Your point might actually matter if this was a contest about who faced harsher discrimination. That wasn't my point though. The point was that Lin, and other Asian players, do in fact experience discrimination. Jeremy Lin playing in a league that has seen other Asian players(better than him) is no big deal. But NOBODY ever tried to keep him out of the league due to his skin color. It was a novelty for the NBA, ESPN/ABC...and ppl like YOU bought it hook line & sinker.

While ppl like ME were highly annoyed & dumbfounded by them constantly panning to anyone that looked Asian in the crowd everytime JEremy Lin scored.

You say this like there's some Asian Basketball League in this country.
