But he def fell into a system of making album where he hit certain marks album after album. He was remaking songs by album 3.

Whereas jay albums had diff poppy sounds that he actually pulled off commercially

doing ha freestyles , money aint a things, city is mine, linkin park remix albums. He branched out better to the pop world with more success is really what i meant. He just adapts to others style for tracks better than nas do imo. I like pure nas better than pure jay. But industry shyt. Jay

This part is an accurate take.

Nas definitely has a million more wack songs than Jay. And I agree, it's just him trying different things. I think that's what's made a lot of his catalogue weak. Him experimenting and trying things he hasn't really mastered or seemed to really think out properly.

Jay's wack songs are usually him having corny moments or chasing a trend that was hot at the time. Weirdo sh*t.

I’ve never listened to both BOBW albums, the Linkin Park one, nor Everything Is Love (there was no shot at me ever listening to that album). Man Jay has some STINKERS on this list though

I never bothered with the Linkin Park joint or the Beyonce one.

But the first BOBW was a certified mainstay in NYC clubs, at the time. Damn near the whole album was being played in the clubs. They still play joints off that in a lot of spots in the city. That was a big album when it dropped. Especially for the ladies.

Vol.3 has some of my favorite Jay joints on it, from that era.

But then he also had some of his weakest sh*t, on that same album. Hov's albums toward the end of the 90's were always like that.

At the same time this was terrible....but Hov was chasing that EDM sound and unlike NaS he didn't put it out.
