It's an okay show. I used to watch it but I stopped in season 2 because of long breaks between episodes. It might be a better watch on Netflix.
People have jokes, but it's not bad for network TV.
5 seasons now
Funny shĩt is I saw the commercial for the new Matlock and it made me think of Equalizer. Maybe the new Matlock is more believable but CBS knows that making these shows with washed — with name recognition — is a solid formula.

I’m on Season 2 now
I was binge watching all of the Denzel Equalizer’s a few weeks ago and realized how much I enjoyed the series and wanted to watch more…
I was biased at first.. mainly because I thought it was Denzels story but I like this show A LOT.
Pleasantly surprised. The stories are good, the supporting characters are good/interesting, and it’s telling a different McCall story.. even changed the name to Robyn. Queen Latifah is very convincing and seems like she becomes more convincing as seasons go on

Damn... I remember when this thread was made years ago and we were clowning this sh*t. But the show is still on?

I'm happy for her, and in hindsight not surprised..she has always been a winner.

I dont have a problem with a female lead. I just like a semblance of believability. There are plenty of women that are tier 1 military and govt assets. The problem is Queen Latifah looks like she couldn't "run" a 5k in less than 40 minutes and eats 3500 calories a day. Even compared to Denzel (who was almost 60 when the first equalizer came out), her fight scenes are slower and less coordinated.
They could've gotten several other black women for this role and made it more believable.
