I say Nas for the lyrics, but the bass on Deep Cover has me swaying more towards Snoop :ohlawd:

I gotta go with Snoop on this one. This one verse alone made him the more anticipated rapper at the time.

I want to say Nas, cause I'm a Stan and think everything Snoops done since murder was the case has been trash, but it has to be snoop...

Hell, Deep Cover x Nuthin But a G Thang x What's My Name is probably the greatest introduction into the mainstream rap game EVER by any rapper :noah:

Fistful of jewels
I wont say either or but the first thing that came to my mind when I heard both was "who the fukk is that?"

honestly, when I first heard Deep Cover, I will NEVER forget where I was
...I was driving over in the projects where some of my folk were. I first thought it was Smooth B because the voices sounded so similar but Snoop not as deep (like Smooth B sped up). After a while I was like, fukk no, this aint Smooth B, that nikka aint THAT vicious on the mic.

Live at the BBQ, I loved the whole track and all the verses (especially Nas and Akinyele) and mustve played it a hundred times.

shyt is too hard to choose. Really.

:lawd:

Same exact shyt here for Snoop.

Real shyt. This was Snoops introduction. His big chance with a name, and he delivered right out the gate.

yep, him being on the hook was a big part

I say that about Nas in the best way. but a lot of cats killed it on a posse track, and then were never or barely heard from again
