I only said that, because it goes hand in hand with the argument. They probably wouldnt have made Rey champ, if it wasnt for the tragedy of Eddy's death. Saying he was squashed every week is a pretty gross exaggeration, but it even stretches believability to have Rey beating up mid heavyweights given the dramatic difference in size. He has the height of a cruiserweight, so its only natural to book him as an underdog that succeeds despite all odds. Not everyone can be booked like Goldberg.
I never implied that he should be beating up super HW's, that'd be ridiculous. I hated Goldberg's streak even when it was happening and generally don't like super extended undefeated streaks because it becomes a where does he go from here when that balloon pops
As I stated there were plenty of cats in that 6'2-6'4 240 ish that Rey coulda worked with during his stint, since they were cashing in on the feel good story of him winning it for Eddie. He was beaten easily way more often than a world champ should be regardless of their size, it's far from an exaggeration to state that he was pretty much squashed during his "stint". .. its better to not put the belt on him but instead just heat him up in the chase of the belt, close but no cigar. .. rather than feed him to monsters. nonetheless you feel Miz was a worse run than was Rey, and I feel the opposite. .. all good
