It was definitely shade seeing that Ancient Egyptians thought that what they painted or inscribed would last for eternity so instead of painting realistic versions of people, they painted idealized versions (or the versions of themselves they wanted remembered for eternity). Thus, fat and out of shape Pharaohs and their wives were actually depicted as in shape, active, and athletic, etc. So for them to depict her with all her rolls, kankles, and no knees, they were definitely trying to be funny.
